The facade and cornice details of the Library of Celsus, located at the ancient site of Ephesus.  The structure was built in 135 AD to store 12,000 scrolls and to serve as the tomb for Celsus.  It shows that public libraries were built throughout the Roman Empire, not just in Rome.
